    Default Performance Issue

I have a Kingston 128gb SSDNow TSSTcorp CDDVDW. It is showing 58.5gb free space. I just ran Windows 7 Professional 64bit perfomance rating and it checked out at 69 down from 70. All other checks are in the mid to upper 70's.
Any suggestions on how to increase the performance of this SSD?

TRIM is on. Would it make any difference if the Marvell 9128 Controller was set to AHCI?

im going to bed, so i can not go into the full detail, which would take days

    BUT
basically win7 pro was the last windows worth having. i have gone linux all the way.

you can disable a TON of back ground programs, starting with your computer programs, auto runn programs, auto updates, built in windows spyware, and the list goes on.
go to startpage, learn how to use the "advanced search" and dig into looking for things you can turn off in win7 pro
    (google is not worth using)

be careful as windows will stop working in retaliation if you go about it in the wrong way, or turn off to much
you can back search some of my posts on it, i have made more than 1

os maintenance, and probably zone alarm FW for program control being taken another step further to make it more speedy,,advanced system care,,ccleaner, glarys utilities,,,the list goes on
but as always, be careful. windows is a spoiled temper-tantrum brat that does not like you tweeking it's twerk

Thanks for all the information. I will check the ASUS Bios to see about changing to AHCI. The book says it has the change, but I cannot find information if the SSD needs to support the change.
