Hmm, I thought I had seen more powerful TFX supplies than that. Well, that throws a slight wrench in my "easy solution." I'm really hoping he'll go ITX and he probably will because he seemed to want "smaller" to be a priority. I'm pretty sure I could convince him he doesn't NEED a second M.2 or 64GB RAM and that 32 GB with one big M.2 is plenty with newer architecture.

That being said I might still opt for a 1070 over a 1080 simply because they can be smaller and leave just enough room in the Silverstone to properly mount an AIO rad. He'll honestly probably never fully load a 1080 and even see the difference. Yeah, for VR, a 1080 would be great but the 1070 is no slouch.

There are some no-name TFX supplies on Amazon, and a few OEM HP and DELL Supplies (but who knows what connectors are on those?)...I saw some in the 400-450 Watts Range, but given how tight the space is in that case, I'm thinking they might be a bit too long to fit.

I kinda think you're headed down the right track with ITX...it's much more popular, and you have a lot more options...still think power and cooling are going to be your biggest hurdles though!

Like I said, you don't pick easy things to build! LOL
