New Build - thinking of this...

It's possible i might upgrade the main parts of my PC soon. On doing minor (really minor) research i've come up with these:

Asus P5Q Deluxe Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard - £140.99
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz (1333FS Processor - Retail - £211.49
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x2G Supplied with Airflow Fan (TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF) - £117.49

Total with shipping: £479.66

I'm hearing these P45 boards can handle very high FSB speeds, so pairing the Q9450 with one might be interesting.

I mainly chose the memory because i think domintor looks the best, i've done no research fo find out who's making the best 4GB kit of the moment

What do you think, should i make any changes?

Asus P5Q Deluxe - Newegg selling for $230 I just gave Gareth a link for it.
This board had good review from Bit-tech 9/10

Q9450 = $424 wow, $395 CDN over here.

Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x2G with air flow, $130 CDN for without air flow.
Dominator is pretty good overclocking.
OCZ ram is good too.

Some good components right there, just a question of the dollar vs return. There are other good choices that are cheaper, but can't fault ya for those parts you've selected.

I've just noticed.........does almost everyone here own a Maximus board?!?!? LOL. Looking at the rig specs for regular posters.....everyone's got a Maximus!!

Sweeet, your getting my CPU!! It must be a good CPU if Jameson is getting it =) What happened to your X6800? And im probably getting that motherboard! If I downgraded to 4GB RAM and get the same GPU as you have, we will have the same PCs xD
