Default What RAM should I choose?

Hi, new here, but might as well get to the point

Ive decided what my system is going to be, im going to order it in a couple of weeks, specs follow:

    Mobo: DFI Infinity 975X/G, Retail
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo (Conroe), E6600, Socket 775, Boxed
    Videocard: Club3D Radeon X1900 XT, 512 MB, DDR3, PCI Express x16
    Memory: Kingston KVR667D2N5K2/2G, 2048 MB, DDR2, PC5300, 667 MHz
    HD: Maxtor DiamondMax 10, 200 GB, 7200 rpm, 8 MB, Serial ATA300
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower, 600 Watt, Retail
    DVD-RW: NEC ND-3550, ATAPI/E-IDE, Zwart, OEM

Well thats about it, im going to go with a cheap case, looks dont really matter to me!

Well you see, the RAM im going to get, is to slow, a guy told me.

The ram im going to buy now
The ram I should buy (guy told me that)

Well, the G.Skill memory, is way to expensive! But is it almost so much faster that I need it?

I play games on my system mostly (BF2)

Is the G.Skill memory worth the extra pay? Or should I just go with the kingston one?

Also it would be cool if you rated my system and give me some things I could do better, this is my first system so..

    Thanks!

that 3200 ram is way under what you need. DDR at 200MHz 2-2-2-5 is like having DDR2-667 3-3-3-9 so you can imagine what DDR2 at 200MHz is like (absolutely ****)

I know a lot are choosing G.skill for cheap but highly overclockable RAM, but i don't remember which model: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...ll_Memory.html

edit: must be this stuff: G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 (2x1G CAS4 Dual Channel Kit

I've got CrossFire, but have used only one in the past and i can tell you now that with your E6600 overclocked and an X1900 XT it doesn't get much better

btw, it seems that the X1950 is coming out on the 23rd Aug, and though this may be priced to high for your budget it *may* push the price down on the X1900XT. Might be worth waiting a few weeks.

Well, the E6600 is Socket775, the new infinity mobo is 775 to, and it supports crossfire to, so I might be able to get a second x1900xt, later

They do indeed, they don't allow SLI or CrossFire though. they are all s775 (P965).

After three days the DFI board died and i had to RMA it to the Netherlands, took ages. Apart from this it's been problem free, but I havent really had much time to play other than whats in this thread.

Any reason why you're not going to overclock? Its free!
