Default is it better then Artic Silver 5?

Shin Etsu X23, I have been looking around and it seems to be better then Artic Silver 5, does anyone else agree with that or people just going bananas?

and is it good for watercooling or just for air cooling?

TBH it problably depends on a reviewer . Coz ie. in the link below you'll find that it's not so oustanding at all.....

On this review the swiftech WC was used...

I've heard it also cures cancer and will get you Playboy bunnies every night........

Seriously, most new thermal pastes are within a degree, MAYBE 2, of each other. That's really not much unless you are pushing some EXTREME clocks or temps. I like using stuff that's easy to apply and remove.....I've tried a crapload of TIM's and right now my fave is Arctic Cooling MX-2. Nice stuff, applies and removes easily. I have the Noctua stuff.......not good, hard to apply evenly. AS Ceramique is goopy to work with, nasty. I'd like to try some of the Shin-Etsu but it's impossible to find in this country.

IMHO this simply might be treated as a error treshold of measurment beacuse in all revies the differences a around 1 to 3 degress so not really a difference

Pretty much. They're all so close now anyways, that's why I look for stuff that is easier to handle and apply, etc, etc.
