Default Thoughts on Ram. Specific Ram.

Most of you know I've been looking at various dual channel kits for my wife's new i5 H55 ITX build. And I've been hoping for the release of GeIL's Evo Two series 8GB kit. But I am growing impatient. I'm now considering several options, and would appreciate some feedback if you've got any. Each of the kits below is dual-channel, 1600MHz DDR3, in 8GB capacity.

    Ram options:
    - Kingston HyperX 1600MHz 8GB kit (2x 4GB) KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX (A bit expensive for a CL9 kit)
    - GeIL Evo Two 8GB (2x 4GB) dual channel 1600MHz DDR3 GET38GB1600C9DC (August?)
    - Corsair Dominator DHX DDR3 1600MHz 8GB (2x 4GB) CMP8GX3M2A1600C9
    - G.SKILL Trident+ 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 F3-12800CL7D-8GBTDD
    - Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 CL7 (Price unknown, emailed Mushkin)

I haven't found pricing on all of them, but all should be between $300 and $400. In the event that the GeIL isn't on the market within the next two weeks, I'm leaning towards the Blacklines. But I'm open to opinions on the others too.

    Thanks.

I've had great luck with my Mushkins. If it were me, though, I'd just get whatever is cheap, unless the Mushkin kit is close to the cheaper modules, in which case I'd opt for that.

Same problem. Kingston isn't making any 4GB modules in the H2O series, so I've got next to no interest in them. Are they using Elpida or Micron as the OEM on those?

Just have Jake include that bit of info in the review. It's very rare these days that reviewers include that crucial bit of info. And you never know, I may need some WaCo ram for a build one of these days.

I've always used Corsair RAM, so I've never had any experience with any other brands. Fortunately, though, I can say my experiences with Corsair have been almost as good as with EVGA, and that says a lot.

OCZ, G.Skill, Corsair, Patriot... I still think of them all as the new kids on the block. I've used Corsair and OCZ before and they've been okay, but nothing exciting. Maybe I'm just hard to please.
