The only reason I haven't tried Webroot, is it's lack of reviews on any of the Anti-Virus evaluation sites. The few reviews I've read (PCMagazine Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus (2015) Review & Rating | PCMag.com) indicate it _would_ be rated AAA if it participated, but that it doesn't do so (because it works different). Avast!, BitDefender, Kapersky, and Eset (to name a few examples) are all regular participants in these tests.

So, while Anecdotal evidence says it's good...I'm a bit leery of it. Don't get me wrong, I believe you guys, but I like to see independent tests of these things on a regular basis just to make sure the developer is keeping up with the threats!

The review that you linked to rated Webroot as excellent. It's hard to get any better than that. I've been using it for three years now, It's pretty damn good.

I use Eset Smart Security on my 3 rigs and its very good, never had a virus, plus it was very affordable, I bought the 3 computer 2 year package when they had a sale and it was only 59 bucks.

I'm gonna chime in one more time here. I've been using the built in Windows Defender on all of my windows systems and it's been surprisingly good. Now, if you like to mess with shady sites or have special networking needs, then you might need to go back to the aforementioned posts, but for gaming and everyday use, I've had no issues. I even keep the firewall up which is a small miracle in itself!

Microsoft defender and malewarebytes Premium and never had issues. I bought malewarebytes when they were offering lifetime accts which I still have on ALL my PCS. No issues so far on any pcs.
I hate paying a yearly fee. One time cost for me and its all I ever needed.

I never had a single issue with AVG Internet Security since 2007 when I start to using it for the first time. I've used it first on my Vista, then on W7 and now on W10 without any problem.

I have Windows 10 and run Bitdefender right next to Malwarebytes and Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.
They compliment each other perfectly and don't use a lot of resources.

I was using Sybot SAD before, but I found that the registry cleaner was destroying Windows 10, Had to reinstall 3 times.
