Arrow What graphic card is the better?

Ok so I am going to purchase one of the following:
    1 no crossfire: ASUS Radeon HD 5870X2 4GB GDDR5 - Ares
    2 in crossfire: ASUS Radeon HD 5970 2GB GDDR5 (EAH5970/G/2DIS/2GD5)

Still, I got no clue what the better setup will be. I mean, some games only supports one GPU and in those cases the first card would be better... right? But what about upcoming games, will they be anything better with two 5970's? And will it be remarkable, or just slightly?

Also, when you crossifre graphics cards do you run two GPU's as if they were the same, or does your games take it as 4 GPU's? I would doubt that many games are truly enhanced for 4 GPU's, as they really reacently started on 2 GPU's.

I also heard that when you crossfire, you wont double the FPS or anything else, but increase by maybe 22%... In that case, the single card is just as good. Well only that it is better on games that only support one GPU.

ASUS Radeon HD 5870X2 also has two GPU's, only they have more power individually then the 5970 GPU's individually has in 5970. The 5870X2 is said to be like two 5870's in power, while 5970 is said to have the same power as (I believe it was) two 5850.

The single card I am thinking about costs as much as two 5970's and it is the best graphics card in the world to date. My question is just if it beats two 5970's since two 5970's doubtfully gives any huge bonus to games enhanced for only two gpu's

Forget the ARES,the hsf is inadequate for its performance, you are better off with this 5970 4GB that runs better coz its much cooler, the ARES is built for bling, not performance

If you didn't live so far away I would give you a good deal on two HD5970s, both for $700

I would have gone with the Sparkle Calibre which is $40 cheaper with a 752 core, 1504 shader, and 3800 memory but it takes up over three slots with two of them that's going to be crowded. All I care about is good cooling for the 480, and the MSI card can be overclocked if it needs to be.
