    Question Gtx560

Hey, im getting a GTX560 from EVGA in a few days, after my old Galaxy 8600GT died off.. How's the upgrade?. but im very concerned, becasue the older one was giving frames burst for a few secconds , and then slowing down to 1-3FPS.. i tried multiple drivers etc. but it never worked, then while setting the display settings in windows, it stopped giving any such display at all..

Will the GTX560 perform properly on my system?.

    It's got

    Pentium D 945 Dualcore @ 3.40Ghz
    Corsair XMS2 1GB ram
    ASUS P5KPL-CM

    Thanks alot

Welcome to pureoc Ryan the upgrade will be fine, please slow down and make some useful posts, randomly posting won't get you entered in to the Giveaway contest they need to be useful posts......people helping people. At the moment it just looks like your trolling for post count to get entered and it will only get you in trouble.

    Thx.

    Hey..

Thanks for the heads up .. come to think of it, i guess i was "trolling".. well i was just commenting on stuff on random posts..not like i was crapping the place up. I was only commenting on posts that i had something to say about. . Well since i use forums only for a while, i don't check back to them regularly, so i do what i have to do in the forum, i do it in a short span of time, and the way i look at newer posts, is scrolling down the favorite sections of the forum, and then seeing whats been up with the forums..

And as far as this post goes, for "people helping people" post goes, i don't think i have the experience or chance with good enough hardware , to "help" anyone. Rather i was looking for help instead..I didn't fill u with the other details with my upgrade...

A few months ago my computer died off.. i thought it was the motherboard, so i bot a another one, which wouldn't support my older processor & ram, so i had to upgrade my processor and ram. Later i could check the board, and found out it was the older processor that was a problem, so i gave the older motherboard away to my friend..

Within a few weeks of trying to install blur to play, my 8600GT started going wonky, and stopped giving display. A few weeks after that, my storage hard drive isn't showing on boot. :S

So yes, this is why i bothered asking about the upgrade, will the games with choke like the previous time i tried testing blur, and whether my PC which currently values under 150$ will kill my 150$+ graphic card which has no warranty.

    Thanks anyway.

Sorry for my useless post(s), and it doesn't look like any of my future posts will be any good, so no use of me trying to be eligible for the giveaway. Moderators, please delete all & any posts by me which you think i was "trolling" in.

Thanks guys, good luck for the giveaway.

How big of a power supply do you have?

You will likely run into trouble with that video card if you only have a 300 or 350w PSU.

got a 500W coolermaster Extremepower, got 4 drives (2 SATA and 2 IDE) got two fans.. i upgraded the system with the card, and the game was still lagging as bad as what it was with the previous card.. very bad stuttering.. and then i took out the equipment to add the cpu cooler, and it wouldn't boot up.. just the mouse, fans and cpu cooler lights up.. the fans run.. keybooard not working and no display.. the CPU heatsink is getting warm, same as the north and south bridge.. Just the RAM is still cold.. i pulled out the ram and cleant it and put it back..

Edit: I noticed that there was some thermal paste on the CPU, i guess that was causing it to short out. I cleant the CPU, and put it back in. It worked perfectly.. Now i disabled some setting in the bios, that prevents the CPU from frying under load, so now there's no stuttering. It works smooth at 30FPS, on low settings with max resolution. Was wondering is this game a CPU Intensive Game?...

(it was saying i don't have permission to edit the post.)
