Default Leaked NVIDIA “Next Generation Performance” Slide

A Slide unveiling performance estimates of NVIDIA’s Next Generation Kepler based 28nm GPU has been exposed. The slide shows that Nvidia will brand the Kepler based GPU’s as Geforce 700 Series instead of Geforce 600 Series and pits the upcoming 28nm GK-100 based GTX 780 Flagship card against the current gen flagship GTX 580 GPU.

The GK-100 based GeForce GTX 780 would be NVIDIA’s Next Flagship Single core card based on the Kepler 28nm process. feature a total f 1024 Shaders (Cuda Cores), 128 texture units (TMUs), 64 ROP’s and a 512-bit GDDR5 Memory interface.

All the Benchmarks were performed on a res of 2560 x 1600, Win 7 64-bit OS, R297 series graphics driver, Max Settings in game with AA/AF turned On and the test setup included the Core i7 3960X Sandy Bridge-E Processor.

Performance was tested in a total of 8 games and Kepler seriously obliterated GTX 580 in every one of them. The chart shows a performance increase ranging from 70% – 130%.

More than double the performance in five of the eight games they tested, and almost double in the other three.
It would be nice to gain that much performance over the GTX580.
It will probably be pricey as hell.

I think AMD is going to have a much higher price to performance ratio. Also those benchies aren't showing us very much. Who knows we will just have to wait and see.

    Know one thing,

Not a fan boy of either side and going to go with who ever has the best card.
Although have run AMD for the last couple years.

Price to performance is the key.
Have to say thats a pretty impressive bench on that card if true.

    No actual numbers.

We all know that the GTX-580's don't score the same on all of those games.
So obviously, they're using a reference GTX-580's performance in each game as a baseline, and saying that the new card does ~this~ much better.

But no ~real~ numbers to chew on,........

First off let me tell you I am not a fan boy either way. Second I use 3 monitors which the ATI excells in, so for me ATI has a better price for performance for me. Not only does ATI perform better at its price in 3 monitors but it does very well with single monitor setups. The HD6970 is a lot cheaper than a 580 and keeps very good pace with the 580. I think you misunderstood me bill, I am not saying ati's offerings beat nvidas, I am saying that they perform very well for the price. Nvida is a better performing card in most cases, it just costs a lot more.

not so. the 6970 trades blows with a 570(with the 570 winning about 70% of the time see link) http://www.pureoverclock.com/review.php?id=1396&page=1 not a 580. a 580 mops the floor with a 6970. 570 and 6970 are priced the same just verified this on newegg. so amd has no better value than nvidia its actually the other way around. this is where i take issue with the amd bs of price for performance leader. it doesnt exist whether its cpu or gpu. as far as the 3 monitors that was not in your original statement. i am a fan of price to performance myself this is where i find intel and nvidia superior to amd

somethings not right, it should be the 680, I doubt they would jump from 580 to 780

I just hope it fold well, it should with all those Cuda cores!

I've seen mention that it will supposedly have around 4x the performance per watt, which is important to us 24/7 folders.

Once again I misspoke all the info I was reffering to were dual card multi monitor benchies. I really hope prices dont skyrocket again as I would love to go back to Nvidia next year.
