Default Looking for new graphics card

I have $150 to spend so I figured I'd try here. I also tried Kijiji, but have had no replies. I found someone selling an HD 5870 for $150, but that's who hasn't replied. Is there anyone here who would sell me their old or unused video card? I'm looking for any card with Direct X 11 support.

I'd also like to add that I will be selling my HD 4890 for $50 if I end up getting a new card, so if anyone's interested PM me!

5870 is still a pretty good card as to price to performance at that price.

And if could double them up with one more later would have a slightly better card than a 5970.
Alot of people going to be dumping alot of these cards both Nvidia and AMD and going for the newer card tech
so prices are going to come way down on them.

They don't make them anymore so they will dry up as to availabilty.
Might hold on and try and get at least a 6950 if you can as a little more current.
There new and used prices are also going to drop.

I've got two 5770's that are highly overclockable and take volt mods as well as DX11 cards.
Going to try to get 75 bucks apiece shipped but as a pair.

Have to agree that the 6950 would be a much better investment if you can raise the budget a bit. Good performing GPU that really ramps up with an OC, and they love to OC.

Short of that, having owned both, I personally would do a new 6870 over a used 5870 at similar cost. BUT, that depends on your gaming habits (I'm not that big on gaming, but have to run benchmarks continually, and the 6870 has never really disappointed). A new 6870 would give you CrossfireX option down the road if you are looking to increase performance, it's going to be hit or miss finding another 5870.

I have to agree with Ciarlatano, go with the HD6870, if possible pick up a HIS IceQ 6870 like the one we reviewed. Newegg has them for $149.95 so you could be running CrossfireX for as little as $300.

That is one ugly ass card. Perfect for a non-windowed side panel I guess.

It may not look great, but it cools the best in it's class, and comes factory overclocked.

It's not as bad in person as that photo makes it appear. It actually looks ok installed.
