That's not a normal system, everything's under LN2 and if he had used the 690 he would have had a higher score.

I have 2 X EVGA 680s, I put them in 2 different systems, I bought them directly from EVGA for 499.99 Each and they have not come down in price since I bought them.

don't matter if its running battery acid its still the fastest GPU, I'm sure if he thought he could get more out of a 690 he would have tried it since he has access to anything EVGA has on the shelf and some stuff that will not see the light of day. he's not going for score hes going for Mhz.

They never tried a 7970. It is a exotic cooling run on one card. No biggie. Nvidea cards are all gonna fail this run watch.

Why would someone that works for EVGA try an Inferior product there are 2 AMD GPUs in the top 20, I guess only 2 out of 20 People tried AMDs?, AMD will always fail they have yet to learn to make drivers just read some of the gaming pages / Video editing sites that is the #1 complaint on AMD GPUS and the very thing that drove me to buy Nvidia until they learn to make drivers that support the product they will be right next to the AMD CPUs 2nd best.

I have used AMD exclusively since 1996 and when the bulldozer failed I had to sell all my parts MB/ RAM/ CPU to have a solid system and they recently announced they would no longer be in the CPU race with Intel. I swapped to Intel because I had no Choice if I wanted a fast Rig and able to compete in benchmarks or anything else .. Why cuz they know they have no Chance, Just like the AMD GPUs I truly wish they could keep up or even get close to Intel and Nvidia but I dont see it anytime in the next 10 years.

Norm, its extreme cooling, not like i is going to run 24/7 at those speeds. It is like AMD bragging they hit 8.4GHz on bulldozer but even at stock, Nvidea has the performance crown. The extreme overclocking is cool stuff but 2000MHz means nothing to me personally.
