Default Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5

I Have a plain 6800 unlocked to 16/6. Even running at stock frequencies (325/700) it ran pretty hot. I had been running it for a year around 375/790, and it would run in the high 70's and 80+ celcius range.

Friend had a Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5 that didn't seem to seat properly on his 6800 GT (he thinks his memory pokes out too much), so he gave it to me and my results are great.

Running stable at 400/820. idle temp is 44c. 9 hours of Q4 and I never saw it go over 60, averaged out 50-55c (just watched rivatuner OSD). Hours of everquest seems to be about the same temp range.

Yeah the Arctic Cooling Silencer NV5 is a great addition to any card that can take it.

    I reviewed the Rev.3 here: http://www.pureoverclock.com/review.php?id=19

Even though it was an a cool running 7800GT it does a great job of toning down the noise levels. I've got a Zalman VF700CU here and even though its a damn fine cooler, it can't compete with the performance of the NV5 when in 5V mode, and the 12V mode is louder than the stock cooler.

Review will be up shortely but for now here's a peak:

Were those ambient temperatures during idle or load?
