    Yes! I beleive I talked to you awhile back about buying yours but I gave up on amd lol...its a great card but Ive always been used to nVidia's control panel and such! My taxes will be coming and Im really stuck on either buying a 2nd 7970 or just selling mine and getting something else lol!! Im not to familiar with newer sli tho (Last I used sli was on a pair of 9800gt's and they did impress me lol) but Im worried about microstutter or temps or such!! I hear xfire is much better about having 2 cards but then again others say sli is just fine! I want to get the best performance out there right now only cuz I fear this will be my last upgrade for a long time lol... AND I ABSOLUTLEY HATE MY FPS DROPPING UNDER 60 LMAO!!! Any opinions and experience would be awesome

    BTW, My card is the XFX R7970 TNBC Version!! I might not sell it right away until I feel satisfied with my new cards

    @JAMES!!
    I was totally checking the lightnings out lol...they have the best cooling and boost clocks from what I can research

    Ok I think my mind is made up finally! Im thinking staying with the 7970 but may sell mine and go for 2 ghz editions! Only reason is because itll be cheaper and not much of a performance gain switching to gtx series! Also I like the fact Ill have 3 gddr5 instead of 2! Not that Ill use that yet but may in the future! I would stick with the same exact card I have now but I cant find the exact one I have for anything under $450 (without warranty) Opinions??

    SLI works pretty darn good.
    I would get a pair of GTX-670s and call it a day.
    They can be OC'd to 680 performance levels, and driver support is better with NVIDIA as opposed to AMD.

    See I know a few who ran 670's classifieds I believe and said they ran to hot and had all sorts of issues! Some with others as well! Im starting to think just both sides have issues and that may be because of the whole new architecture deal and still working out the querks! I was looking at the msi lightnings 680 for sli but am now scared of heat and the 2 gddr5 Ill be stuck with! I know I wouldnt use that now but hell bf3 uses over 1.5gig in ultra! Thats not much of a future proof kinda system if I were to choose those :/ AGHHHH Im so lost lol

    If you have decent airflow in your case, heat will not be a problem.
    Performance will be superb, and the cost is lower too.
    I have GTX-570s in SLI and I love them.

    Like Neil stated good air flow in you case will go a long way. Get yourself some decent fans, depending on what your using right now and get the 670's or 680's which ever floats your boat. If heat is a major worry for you than look at the Gigabyte card. Have a look at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125448

    This card has good airflow and is fast.
    I'd love to have one or two of them.
