    Default Crossfire knowledge here!!! lol

So i've been running 2 7970 lightnings and I had a huge iverheat issue! Unless I have vsync enable my top card would easily make it over 90 celcius!! Out of boredom I switched cards, xfire bridge, and took both of the gpu reactors off to see what would happen! And to my surprise now the top card(after swap) hasent gotten over 56 celcius (with vsync) Does that mean I have a bad card? I know my case isnt the best airflow out there but is really good at it!

when you have multiple gpu, the top card is always run hotter than the bottom card.
what do you mean by swapping the card, the bottom card go on top and via versa?
If that's the case then what is the temp for the bottom card now?

Like Tony Said, the top card normally run slightly higher, but in your comment it looks like you saying now that the card (originally from the bottom) is not at the top and running lower then the one a the bottom? Is that correct?

Yes as I swapped the bottom card with the top card and all seems good! And for some wierd reason msi afterburner wont show me the bottom cards temps :/ I know xfire is enabled cuz it shows me the usage on both cards and tells me everything else about the 2nd card other than the core temps

Do not even attempt to ask for a RMA until you know if the card you moved to the bottom is still running hot, at least this way you will have scree shots to back up your story if it is running warmer than it should

to my understand his temps are normal after swapped the cards, the CCC recognizes the CF setup, only Afterburn can't see the cards in CF at the moment.
