    Default Catalyst 13.3 beta

    About ready to call it a day and head home to your gaming PC? Well, you may want to grab the new Catalyst 13.3 beta drivers first. AMD just released them this afternoon, and it promises performance improvements, including frame latency optimizations, for Radeon graphics cards. Here are the official feature highlights:

    • Improve performance in Sim City 5 up to 16 percent
    • Improves performance in Far Cry 3 up to 5 percent
    • Improves latency performance issues seen in Tomb Raider and Hitman Absolution
    • Resolves slight corruption seen in Tomb Raider with TressFX enabled for CrossFire and single GPU configurations


    Scott, our Editor in Chief, is hard at work testing the latency improvements in these drivers, and he should have some numbers to share with you soon. Stay tuned! For now, you can grab the Catalyst 13.3 betas here for Windows 8, 7, and Vista in either 32-bit or 64-bit flavors.

    IMO another utterly useless update. Is anyone having Portal 2 freezes? I constantly get the display driver has stopped responding error, regardless of the card being over/underclocked and even at stock.

    I play Portal 2 all the time and haven't had any issues.

    This driver is rocking so far!!! Idk why its only says wat it says in the release notes but I've noticed extreme boosts in so far, crysis 3, valley bench, tomb raider of course (alot smoother anyway) Gonna do some more tomorrow!! nVidia better watch it lol
