Hey mate, I own 2 of these 7970's. They are the second revision of the ones you probably read reviews about (they have a brown/black pcb). This version is the Sapphire 7970 OC with boost edition. It is not a reference board and you won't be able to put any full cover blocks on it (if you plan to water cool that is).

Thanks I test it when I get my cooler so the whole rig is running, but do you know if the connector thing is even a problem?

There is nothing wrong with the 8 pin connectors, you just need 2 8 pin connections to power the monster, the reviews you read were for a different card.

That second 8-pin connector is there for added voltage stability. It's a factory-overclocked card. Completely normal to give it extra juice.

I thought the same thing until Tee showed me a few blocked that would fit my 7950 dual-x oc cards. You will have to check yours against the list. You can find it on the side of Sapphire Boxes. A white label.

Swiftech KOMODO-HD7900 series - PC Liquid Cooling Systems CPU Cooler VGA Water Block Heatsink Pump Radiator Heat Exchanger Kit

Ekwb also has a block that might and I stress might work. Go to the website and double check. Again when I first looked it was not listed but Tee showed me and there is was.

NZXT is coming out with a GPU bracket to attach an Asetek AIO to your GPU you could try that instead
