At some point I am going to buy a 2nd 1 GB 7850 for my son. What is the most you would think I should pay new or used for one ? Also can I not pair a 2 GB 7850 with a 1 GB 7850 and it will just use the 1 GB but will run in Crossfire properly ? Would that be correct ? The reason I thought of doing this is maybe in the future I would want to give the 1 GB 7850 to someone and then eventually pick up a 2 GB 7850 on the cheap and so he would have 2 cards that would be using 2 GB vram.
I wish I could build pcs each and every single day for the rest of my life. PC FTW !

Yes you can Xfire them. Using 1GB. Should see any issues. Go hit the refurb and close out sections on all the Etailer sites. Bet you can find a good deal on one of them. Was going to say Geeks.com but they are shutting down sells. No idea why.
