I got that. I didnt understand the point of the comment. It is an engineering sample. Things like that are normal. You are a smart dude Polo so I hope you dont really think AMD will be shipping GPUS to the masses with a "botch wire". lol

No lol it was more or less a joke, I guess I could've worded it a bit better, if they did I would imagine they wouldn't be in business for much longer.

Lol Thank god it was a joke! haha You got that right. I'm an AMD fan and I would have to call it a day on them if they shipped release products like this.

It looks great but I wish OEMs would change the color of the caps they use. If you are expecting people to use gpu blocks or other after market cooling dont make the caps cheap looking. That crap shows with some stock coolers and with some gpu 3/4 blocks. Make them black with with polarity indicators. Any color other then this straight out of china plant by the billions crap. Board makers stopped using those caps long ago so GPU makers need to catch up to the times. Every detail matters to us!

Meh, I don't particularly mind it but if they're gonna color the pcb they might as well get colored caps too

The caps was my issue. Black and Brown PCB is standard for GPUS. I just dont like the color of caps. It looks cheap. Nvidia uses the same cheap looking caps.

This is the first real nomaclator change in forever. Now I do admit this new way is a bit different. I understand why they are making this change though. it would overlap with older products and older Nvidia offerings if they didnt.

Think about it. Radeon 1XXX, Radeon HD2xxx XT, HD3XXX all the way up to the current 7XXX series. Been the same way of naming Gpus. The new way follows the same kind of sceme with Generation, Family and placing in lineup of that family. Just different nomenclature.
