Default Trade in my GTX 760 for a cheaper AMD card?

    Hey all,

I recently bought a new computer and stuck the Nvidia GTX 760 inside. Now, I'm realizing that I do not need all that power (as I do absolutely no gaming). I watch streaming videos and program and surf the net. I would like a cheaper AMD (the R7 265 just came out), but I would like to eventually setup a crossfire setup (I have 3 monitors) for 6 monitors in the future and eyefinity is very appealing...

Any suggestions moving forward? Thanks in advance!

If you are planning on running all of those monitors just keep the 760. You might decide to play a game in the future. Doesnt have to be BF4 or any highend game. Maybe Wow or some other MMO. You will be happy you did when you want to plaster it across 3 or more screens.

But if you must down grade The 265 or 270 are not bad choices. Not the 270x but a 270.

Setting up for six monitors off of a single card yeah, you'll want an AMD card since Eyefinity on certain AMD cards can go up to six monitors off of a single card. That being said i guess so long as the AMD card you want will support the monitors then whatever card it is should be good to go, especially if you don't really intend on gaming. I agree with Sandy's assessment of the AMD cards though, those ones will probably net you the best bang for your buck. Just sucks that nVidia cards only support up to four monitors at once (unless something has changed that I am unaware of), otherwise that 760 would be strong enough that you wouldn't need another card really.
