    Default The GTX 950 thread.

I was surprised to see no discussion about the newly released GTX 950 today, so I figured I'd start my own even though I have little in the way of informative detail to give. I can say that by the looks of the benchmarks so far and the reported price, that this could easily be the new "best-bang-for-the-buck" GPU on the market and be difficult to beat.

Any chinks in it's armor that any of you have spotted yet or thoughts on upcoming versions?

See Josh's new posting on the main site!

As to chinks, the only thing I noticed is higher TDP as compared to the 750ti, but that's sure to come with greater performance, so that seems like a non-issue.

The interesting thing to me, is that it is SLI compliant (up to 2), which the 750ti models definitely weren't. I honestly don't know if a SLI pair of $160 (Street price is around there) 950s would beat a single $315 GTX 970, in any benchmarks, but it's a fun thought.

I can hardly believe that two (SLI) GTX 950 could outperform a single GTX 970 in any benchmark, but.... you never know, everything is possible.

    Always look beyond the limits...
