There was much discussion about this a few months ago, however it's since been proven that you currently can't mix RV670's with RV770's.

Nevertheless, who's to say that it won't be supported by a future driver release.

Bullydog, I think you are dead on the money about it, if you xfire with 2 different cards. One is faster than the other then the fastest card have to clock down to the same speed of the slow card.

I won't do Xfire though just do crossfire only if I were you.

yes it is and yes it works very well. its a creative music card i got it for 50$ i think. as for overclocking its already done i was working all day to do it well 2 hours anyway. i got core at 830 ram at 1000mhz (4ghz effective) and they run awsome i had the ram at 1050 but i was getting artifacts and i read somewhere that the chips are only rated to 4ghz so i turned them down. o and the core voltage is up 0.01 to 1.273 in the bios. very very nice overclocking cards. temps are 61-62C full load GPU there are 3 more sensors on the core the others are all lower by about 2C and there is one (im assuming in the core) that reads 69-71C but the card comes stock at 90C almost under load so i feel great about these temps.

quick question, how do you change the voltage of the card in the card's bios? I never learned how to do that and since you brought it I thought why not ask

I don't think rivatuner is working with 4870 at the moment, I think he uses ccc or flash modded bios.
