gtx 260 are great bang for the buck i love mine play's great on game's css and i have justed tried wow
61 fps all settings maxed out 1920x1080 ws keeps great temps 60c when folding or playing games around
52-60'c fan at 85% and the best thing about the fan is very low noise .. i use evga tuner not rivatuner

rivatuner seem's not to keep fan speed and i use 186.18 driver also
and that's with my small setup

If you're not only looking at Nvidia GPUs, ATI's 4890 would be better and cheaper.

The 4890 is faster. The Nvidia card that competes with the 4890 is the GTX 275. An OC 4890 is comparable to 285

260's in SLI will run very nicely, good bang for your buck. You running 1920 resolution?

Havn't got a sli board but two fold nicely and they definately run cool Mine are the 192 shader version, I believe the later 216 shader models are built on 55nm and so should be better still...where you find a deal these a really good bang for buck
