Default Could a Radeon HD 5790 be possible?

I was thinking of the possibilities of this thought. Given the fact a 5830 is quite decent in performance, but the price tag is left to be desired, imagine if someone decided to make a 5790.

Here were some questions I was thinking about:
Would it be just an overclocked 5770?
Would there be 1.5GB of GDDR5 instead of 1GB?
Would it hit the price point of $200?
Would the performance surpass a 5830?

I doubt it would have more shaders, but anything could be possible. The reason of all of this thinking is I remember Sapphire making a 4860 with what I believe are 4890 chips which had shader processors shaved off. It could even be possible to have a 5800 chip and stick it in a 5790 with less shaders than a 5830, yet more than a 5770. Then again, they would technically have to call it a 5810 or 5820.

If somehow, someone made these, would people buy them? Would a company even attempt this? Who knows if the price on 5830s will even drop soon, despite the Fermi cards coming out.
What are your thoughts on this?

Well they made the 5830 to fill the gap between the 5770 and the 5850 i dont think they will make another card between these two.I believe that Ati has finished with the 5xxx series. They are focusing at the overclocked editions of 5870 and 5970 at this point to compete the Fermi cards and their next step is designing the 6xxx series.

I think the overclocked editions of the 5870 with the 2gb of ram will be the 5890.I am telling this cause i saw on the net reffering to the 4gb overclocked edition of the 5970 as the 5990 so it makes kind of sence.Anyway its just my thoughts time will tell.

Well that asks the question if Sapphire made that decision to make the 4860 or it actually came from ATi. No one else came out with a 4860, only Sapphire.

ATi won't make one, but can some company attempt to do something along these lines? It could be Sapphire or someone else.

If anything, right now, a 5890 is actually almost expected. Even a 5990 is in a lot of expectation.

ATI board partners are coming out with non-reference cards, we can confirm that. There are some on the way, I currently have one on the bench and waiting for another. HOWEVER.......I suspect that after Nvidia's 400 series cards are officially launched, I'd say it's a safe bet we'll see ATI respond with a couple cards that are juiced up to combat them.
