I wonder what drivers the Radeons are being tested on. 10.3 yields significant fps gains over 10.2

Well, as I suspected, the cards run hotter, louder, more power hungry, and more expensive than the ATI cards. Sure, the 480 gets a few frames more but it runs about 20C hotter, sucks down more power than a frickin dual GPU 5970, is loud as stink, and costs $100 more than a 5870.

    Fermi Fail.

Well then, it's a safe bet to assume 5000 series prices will not drop much in the foreseeable future, and they are a far better buy.

So for those of you waiting for Fermi, move along, nothing to see here.

Just been looking at some information at dvinfo.net on Adobe's new CS5 (releasing April 12) and so far the only supported CUDA enabled cards are the GTX 285, and three of the Quaddro cards. SLI will not be supported either, at least not for several months.

Here I was waiting on the new Fermi cards, and so far they haven't been qualified yet. You'd figure that with Adobe and NVIDIA working so close together on CS5, they would have qualified more than 4 cards this close to release.

As much as I hate to thank you for that (because I've been wanting one), the end about the folding farm almost made me fall out of my chair laughing.
