Thumbs down As much as I hate to say it: NONSENSE! The R650 chip DOES NOT EXSIST!

I hate to burst your bubble, and beleive me, I looked forward to getting the Ati Radeon 2950XTX on My PC with a crossfire setup reguardless, of the cost, but according to my own sources, the R670, R680, and yes even the famed R650 chip are and always have been nothing more than RUMORS! No one knows who started this BS, but they even had me goin! For weeks I have waited after reading posts in forums, and for weeks I have been dissappointed in the lack of legitamate/genuine information about this chip. It was a dream that would make my radeon-based machine in crossfire mode finally capable of stopping a SINGLE Geforce GPU! How Ridiculous is this lack of progress; The previous chip could not fully compete and also uses to much power in crossfire mode for my 500 watt power supply which in most cases would be adequate, and why would they make an 80NM chip when they are already familiar with the 65nm technology used in the 2400 and 2600 chips? An R650 sounds good and I wish something like that would come out! Someone please prove me wrong and comfort me by saying the Ati Radeon 2950XTX REALLY WILL come out!

More texture power, a more energy efficient chip and higher clock speeds all sound good, but check out these reports! Your only hope is the RV670 chip, but that won't be out for a while, or you could always wait till NEXT YEAR and get the R700 chip!!!
