    Default GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB reviewed early

    Under somewhat mysterious circumstances, TweakTown has received the G92-powered 8800 GTS refresh and published the web's first review. Underneath the label "you know what to do", laid a board that comfortably outperformed the 8800 GT and HD 3870 in titles including Lost Planet: Extreme Condition DX10, Company of Heroes DX10, Crysis Demo, F.E.A.R and 3DMark 05 and 06. In comparison to the 8800 GTX and Ultra, the board is roughly two FPS ahead of the GTX, and three FPS behind the Ultra in Crysis (XP) at 1920x1200...

    all i can say is wow this gpu looks amazing and i bet its really overclockable but who knows till its released.

    Turns out they did...

    "We thought we would do a quick little overclock of the card before we wrapped things up. With a core speed of 720MHz and 2104MHz DDR on the 512MB of GDDR3 we managed to climb up and over 14,500 in 3DMark06."
