Contrary to their strategy of opening the series with high-end cards, Nvidia is reportedly going to debut the GeForce 9-series with the mid-range 9600 GT (D9P). As Expreview report, the 65nm chip will operate at 500MHz/1000MHz, include 64 shader processors and house 512MB of memory on a 256bit bus. It's still unsure whether the board will support DX10.1, however the site note that the board will rival the Radeon HD 3850 and the upcoming RV635.
