The first Sunday Sampler of 2008 starts off with news that Asus is formally splitting into three companies. The new "Asus" will only make Asus-branded notebooks and systems, "Pegatron" will handle motherboards and PC component manufacturing, while "Unihan" will focus on chassis and sub-component manufacturing. Pegatron and Unihan will still use the Asus name - the only real change is that all employee's pensions have been cut, regardless of maturity.
