Not to be confused with the HD 3850 Trinity - an Asus prototype with three RV670 cores - the company has now completed work on their HD 3850 X2. Remembering that AMD hasn't provided a reference design, Asus has set the clocks to 668MHz for the cores, and 829MHz for the 1GB of DDR3 memory. For reference, a HD 3870 X2 runs at 825MHz/900Mhz. Two pictures have been provided, and all that separates the card from this HD 3870 X2 is its smaller number of DVI ports.
