GeForce 9800 GX2 to be discontinued in June?

With speculation about the GT200 core slowly starting to spiral out of control, Expreview have perhaps now made things worse. They believe that the recently-launched 9800 GX2 will be discontinued in June - roughly a month before the 9900-series is expected to make a debut. The latest news regarding the 9900-series pointed out that a 9900 GT, GTX and GX2 would be included - Expreview being the source of the GX2 rumour. What's true and what's not remains to be seen, though the 9800-series performance is anything but satisfactory.

Well, that's just a rumor. GX2 wasn't a hot sell as Nvidia expected, due to high price (it's dropping in price at the moment) and small performance increase if you compare with 9800GTX (cheaper). GX2 OC versions is avaliable now.

9800 series are just a refeshment of the 8800 series. The next 9900 series is going to be then next gen chip, I bet it will be better. And can't wait to see the ATI/AMD R700 coming out, the rumor for the release date is in June or July as well. Oh man, this is going to be a video cards war between ATI/AMD vs. Nvidia.
