    Default Mid-range Nehalems will overclock afterall?

    An unidentified source (presumably from Intel), has told NordicHardware that the mainstream Nehalem's (Lynnfield, Havendale) will not feature an overclocking lock, despite previous reports.

    With "enthusiasts" spending power the world over Maybe Intel feels they want a chunk of the pie afterall??? or put another way would we have all bought the Q6600 if it was locked?

    i think intel has employes' that go around and read forums just to see how people reacted to that news. with the reaction they changed their minds.
