    Default GeForce GTX 280 power consumption tested

    VR-Zone has run some power consumption tests on a GTX 280, and they found that a single card drew 147W at idle and 292W at peak, while a SLI setup consumed 190W and 508W, respectively.

    just remember that these are system consumption levels, not just the gpu on it's own

    i would hope socould you imagine 500 watts at load for the gpu's alone lol i would need to use 2 120 volt seires in my house just to power a comp...
