    Default New Build

Starting an i 7 core system...... Building it myself. Heres the base. P6TD Deluxe (shold have went with the V2, but gonna try to work with this). i7 950 processor, 12 gb of corsair dominator TR3X6G1600C8D. Case will be the Coolermaster HAF X. Still looking at PSU's ( but at least 1100w). Once all components installed, next will be the lioquid cooloing. Leaning towards the H2O Swifttech. After that will come the 2- 5850, or 5870 ATI video. I will try to keep pix as I build....... any input would be deeply appreciated. This means U, Deton, lol

    some body called?

P6T Deluxe V1 is still a good board if I didn't fire it then I've never bought the P6X58D. The V1 and V2 are the same board, there is no performance different between two boards.

Why 58xx cards? The new 68xx are cheaper.

Regarding about Swiftech H20 kit. Which one are you going to get, the Edge or the Ultima?

The ultima, just so I can add to it as I build. Only thing I seen added to the 6800 is the 3D. I love those Toxic from sapphire. I've had 2 so far, and they preform great. I've seen they run hot when in Crossfire, but if I water cool em, I don't think I'll any issue. When ATI or ( cough, cough AMD, decide to change where u can run a 6800 with a 4800 or whichever u like, I'll stay with my toxics.

Do you need 12G of ram. The average user doesn't utilize 4G.....

Running 64 bit windows 7. I will probably only use 6 gb's, as I've read that using more than 3 slots, may interfer with overclocking the memory.

After doing some extensive reading, I decided to go with the Swiftech H2O-320 Edge. I thought it was a sealed unit, but learned it "can" be added to.
I'll add a picture after I install it. Hopefully at the top of my HAF-X.
