But you can measure the distance from top of cooling unit over back port conections to the base where is mobo connected.. isn't ? Its have to be much ease then in the case.
Or I am not understanding something ?

Your cooling block will fit no problem Processors for LGA2011 are much bigger, like 25-30% over 2500 and 2600K's.

it's just look like a common height with a black plastic cover for the I/O. If it is too big then it wouldn't fit into all today's the cases.

I have the Sabertooth X79 and the only problem I see with it is that 2 of the SATA 6.0 ports are used for SSD caching, so if you just use your SSD for your OS and programs this will do you no good, 2 of the 8 ports down the drain.

They are for making your platter drives faster with your SSD, only a small SSD is needed but its not the OS drive. You still have the 2 SATA 6.0 brown ports for 2 SSDs that will acommodate any SATA 111 SSDs. Plus 4 more SATA 3.0 ports for other things like Opticals.

You all probably know that I building the rig based on LGA2011, I was warned that is expensive.. that I do not need end etc... but rig is will be used for work ( little modding included, but that just for fun) and I hope that will pay out all expenses that I investing on new build.
But lets go back on business - motherboard.
They expensive... but on close look, I thinking, that difference between different models an makers are not so big.. so.. that is now all depends on you, your recommendations. I need - solid performance, a lot of SATA ( around 6 SATA3) overlocking potential have to be is well. I do not need - more than 2 PCI Express x16 ( only 2 GPU planned) but I need have possibility to add sound card if I need, additional RAID card or something like that ( WiFi for example). Minimum gaming planned( COD MW only, end only on weekends ) that why I was thinking do not look to rampage series but read I lot of good things about them... Workstation looks very, very good, but SABERTOOTH have excellent performance and cooling is well, Deluxe have a lot of nice features like WiFi... So - HELP

Sorry for mentioning only ASUS, I do not skip another different makers, but I always was using this maker of mobos and never was disappointed.
