We finally have an official release window from Richard Swinburne of ROG Taiwan.

Quoting Mr. Swinburne:

"Both versions of the Maximus V Formula will be available AT THE LATEST first week of July. Production starts tomorrow.

Maximus V Extreme will be available a week later: mid-July (tentatively, it's still undergoing QA process)."

I'm really tempted to buy this board but I heard that the replacement for z77 which is next gen Haswell chipset is little less than 1 year from now? And as usually with intel it's going to be on another socket type

I would just wait, IMO it's too late to move the Ivy just wait and get an even better rig on the next one.

yea rumor is march-june 2013 the 1st run of Haswells should be hitting the market and they will have several TDPs so Im guessing 10+ models to choose from.

1150 is Haswell, will replace 1155 Sandy Bridge/Ivy bridge, I was reading yesterday that Intel will be phasing out SandyBridge CPUs in Sept/12 and concentrate on Ivy Bridge until 2013 when Haswell Hits the market

i am wondering about 2011 what will it goto 2005 what will the extreme chips turn into?
