Why not go with the ASRock Z77 OC Formula ? it's a great board for overclocking, and it's not expensive.

I normally go for ASRock and ASUS when I buy boards, but this time, I like the Gigabyte for that mSATA slot.
I would love to try that out.

The MSI Z77 MPower got rave reviews all over the web.
It has just as many excellent reviews as the ASRock Z77 OC Formula does.

Both would be the proper choice for overclocking goodness.

Sounds like you have had a bad experiance with MSI before.

It happens with everyone eventually. (Zotac GPU's and I don't get along at all) But it shouldn't turn you off of a brand that it well known for quality under normal circumstances.
The MSI Z77 MPower and ASRock Z77 OC Formula are geared for overclock enthusiasts. They don't have some of the fluff features that more expensive boards do, but they both have wicked power handling capabilities that are geared for stability while overclocking. Both boards were designed with overclocking in mind, and then offered at a low price.

They are both a great deal.

My local msi distributor sucks, they are always reluctant to rma mobos & are downright dishonest,I rather save myself the pain & forget about msi mobo altogether, anyway I picked up an Asrock Z77 Extreme 6 & it looks great & its reasonable price

So it's not the MSI brand as much as the people that you have to deal with when you buy MSI.
That's understandable, there are retailers that I don't do any trading with either for the same reasons.
They don't realize that people are not gonna put up with their crap when there are so many other ways to get the parts that you want and get great service too.

Enjoy that board. It looks like a good one.
