    True! My mistake. How's "Fabulous".

Anybody have a good low profile CPU Fan that's 1151 Compatible they'd recommend? My windfall doesn't go as far as watercooling this thing yet, and the BitFenix Pandora I have here is purty tiny like.

Thinking of a Z170 Maximus VIII Gene as the MB since I'm not seeing an MSI out there in mATX. Not really thinking mITX yet, although if I found the right board, I might be convinced...

Lol, Fabulous is great. On the cooler note, I might have a Noctua NH-L9x65 available in a couple weeks. I've tried running it on a FX-8350 but it had trouble keeping up. It's only rated to handle 100w CPUs but Skylake is under that. It's low profile too. Not sure if it has enough cooling for you if you want to overclock, but just let me know.

I'm thinking I was looking at one of those on PCPartPicker...yup, I'm interested...I've got no deadline for building this box, so I can certainly wait!

Thanks Neil. Do you know who makes the Corsairs? I'll dig around if I can see, but I noticed them popping up in my Gold+ search results...made me wonder if they ware Seasonic or FSP based.

Thanks Vinny! Love those EVGA's, just 1.2KW is a bit much for my taste. I tend to try to pull the PSU power needs down to <750W. I don't run SLI (so far) and value silence and coolness more than PURE UNADULTERATED WATTAGE!!! Wait...what?

I've got my eye on an EVGA 750 P2, but it's a bit expensive for my overall happiness level...if I can get one on sale soon though...lol

Perfect! I kinda wish it was mATX, but that's one sweet looking board. I'll have to keep an eye on it and see what the reviews say. Nice thing is that MicroCenter will probably get it, and if I'm lucky I can pick it up with the Gift Card I have!

    Thanks Josh!

...Saving my money as well ,maybe 2016 will have better products to get
You only have answered to your own question. In my opinion is not worth making the upgrade now, because it's not just upgrading the processor, but also motherboard and RAM, inverting a considerable amount of money is not justify by little of performance you'll gain.
If you still want to make some upgrade, you can go for i7 4790K + AIO WC, and you'll be able to OCed it to 4.5GHz - 4.6 GHz. You have a good prices on i7 4790k now:
    Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Refresh Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I74790K - Newegg.com - Newegg.com

That's what I'm waiting for (Skylake E 8 cores). Probably second half of 2016.
