Default Issues with my ram post overclock

I was overclocking my i7 950 to 3.4Ghz by simply bumping the qpi to 147 from stock 133, apparently it's supposed to be safe enough, but now out of all my ram only 1.99gbs are usable. Reset my cmos, and no luck, any idea what might have gone wrong? I've never had this issue before with lga775 procs

In the BIOS, is the QPI the only thing you touched? Other than that is everything else set to auto?

So with everything set back to defaults, it still only detects 2GB?

Exactly, and it's a 64bit OS so that's not the issue.

Yup, exactly what I was gonna say. I had that problem before, bought 6 more gigs of new RAM and one of the sticks were defective. If the testing ends with positive results, maybe it's the BIOS?? I'm just guessing.

    Let me ask you this.
Were mobo recorgnize all 6Gb when you first installed?

Have you check to make sure all dimm sit properly?

You can test them by install one stick at the time to determine the bad one.

How do you know only 2GB are "usable"? Does only 2GB show in BIOS or in Windows?

All 6GB worked out of the box. Memtests return no errors and all 6GB are detected, Windows tells me that 1.99GB are usable, not my full 6GB.
