Default Comcast's Protocol-Agnostic Congestion Management System

    http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6057

I've just been reading this and wondering how you guys on Comcast find it?

The level of use before triggering a restriction seem very high to me, mine is probably nearer 5% than 70%

Finally, what do you all pay for a 50Meg connection? Do you get charged for exceeding a given amount of d/l per month? and are there different rules for evening use?

    Hi Mike

I have a 30 Meg down and 7Meg up which cost me $50 a month, if I were to split my bill up, but I also get my phone with digital voice and free long distance and cable TV with every station available for a total of $229 a month including two Hi Def boxes and taxes.
    I believe 50Meg down an 8Meg up runs $79.99 a month.

I have Comcast Blast, digital voice, and HD digital TV with 3 premium channels (HBO, Starz, Encore) for $139.00/per month plus tax. Blast is advertised as 20 down, 5 up, but mine usually runs faster. See: .

There is a 250 gigabyte of data limit for up and downloads combined per month, but I haven't even come close. This guy did though, and got disconnected for violating the limit more than once in a 6 month period. See: http://www.komonews.com/news/tech/125614378.html.

I've been pleased with my internet thru comcast and customer service has improved over the past year. It used to be horrible but is better now. Hope this helps.
