    Default Trendnet wireless N

Ok, so after reading a number of reviews this is the one I decided to buy... the Trendnet TEW-633GR.

    http://trendnet.com/langen/products/...W-633GR&cat=77

After a bit of a false start ( the first one delivered had a faulty power supply) I set this up in place of my wired belkin router.....Complete doddle...I didn't have to do anything by hand completely auto setup.

So after 5-10 mins I had my Internet back up my computers networked and all was dandy.

Installed the security software/settings for wireless, again very straightforward and set about connecting my daughter's laptop....really easy to do and the option to select as home network makes it easier for her with auto select to this network.

Now ....you have to remember this is my first foray into wireless so I will explain my requirements.

Needed the ability to connect 3 computers hardwired. and wireless for my daughter and soon for wife and son too. the normal "it has to work all round the house" rules apply......but there was another requirement....nearby, about 100ft-120ft away, is where grandmother lives and with the kids going there after school I needed to be able to connect internet on the laptops from there. Between the laptops and the router there are a double skin brick wall and a single brickwall and a window.

    Results so far:

Around the house ....It seems to me that I cannot tell the difference between wired and wireless

At grandmother's.....I still see very little reduction in speed if at all

I guess I should try moving files or somesuch to see just what speeds I do get, but for browsing...RESULT.

Anyone wants me to do specific tests just ask .....I'll try to accommodate
