Default Comcast e-billing, not notifying customers of cutoffs

    http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...ing-bills.html

Comcast sent an e-mail to all of it's boradband subscribers notifying them of new billing procedures sometime in November. Comcast is moving to e-billing instead of the customary paper bill by postal service. The new paperless e-bill will cost $1.99 convience fee and $4.00 e-pay fee, unless you drop off payment at the local office. Comcast will automatically enroll it's broadband subscribers on the e-bill program unless they reply to the e-mail and request to keep the old standard paper bill by snail mail.

The caveat: Comcast only sent e-mails to customers using their internal e-mail system, so if you are like me and do not have a comcast.net e-mail address you do not get the notification and were automatically switched to e-billing.
If you haven't seen a Comcast bill for a couple months, give your local comcast office a call and complain. You may get late fees and / or reconnect fees dismissed.

I'm not a fan of Comcast anymore. Speed is ok if im not getting throttled. Then the 250gb bandwidth cap, now this. I really wish Verizon was in my area.

I don't use them but my parents do. I use Cox, and they are really good overall. When I'm at my parents, if I'm working on their computer at around 5pm, I swear it's not much better than low-end DSL

I started paying for a 8meg service with comcast, then I received a letter saying they were giving me 16megs at no added cost because my bill is always paid on time, but every test I run has my speed between 23-27 megs download and 1.8 - 3 megs upload, but that depends on the time of day, so I have no complaints at all.

I just received another letter saying that they will be offering 30meg service very soon, but I am already close to 30megs. I get every cable station, my highspeed internet, and my phone for $192 a month. In July, they said I can start to knock off some of the programing that I do not want, as far as online biiling, I chose not to pay that way, I would rather go into the office and pay, it's only 5 mins from my home
