    Default Battery problem.

Hey guys, Iíve got this problem in my laptop where the charge doesnít last long after unplugging the charger. I changed the battery two times and the same happened to the second battery after a couple of months. So do you guys have any suggestions for this?

It could be two things. the chargers not working correctly, or your battery is no longer able to hold a charge and needs to be replaced

We can’t predict that HP has poor battery service, probably there must be a error in your charger. So better to double check it.

Could also be your settings, I know with my old laptop the charger would just keep the battery level stable but wouldn't charge it because my settings were maxed out

I think the weak link in laptops and psu's for them is the plug/socket arrangement. It is possible that you have a slight issue with these.

I would expect a battery under six months old to last a similar time to that when it was new provided it is a manufacturer replacement...if not all bets are off.

I had thought that memory problems with the newer battery's were a thing of the past until I replaced a battery in a Lenovo. Instructions came with the replacement to charge the battery overnight and the discharge completely. Repeat the process at least 3 times. I passed on the information and have not heard from the guy since.

if you keep the bat in at all times even when it is on AC, then it could be becoming "over charged" and is no longer able to hold the charge, as Dr. D stated, what i do, is if i know i am going to be keeping it plugged in, then i just remove the Bat all together and maybe every 2 months or so, i hook the bat in to charge to full, i have had this laptop for 2 years now, and my bat lasts 4-6 hours on a single charge.

Actually, they had a huge recall of HP batteries a few years ago because they included faulty batteries in most of their laptops. (think fire and burning batteries)
They were called out by the consumer product safety commission, and replaced them for a ~~whole lot~~ of people.
There was another battery recall by HP a few years before this one too.

So given this, "predicting" seems to be warranted.
