    Default new laptop choices

    hey guys, i have a friend wanting to switch from his pc to a laptop and wants the most bang/buck. it will mainly be used for watching movies, picture storing/editing. i have an ASUS g73jh and it performs well, but i wasnt sure if theere was a better option now since i have had mine a couple yrs.

    any advice appreciated.

    I would go HP but if you're an Alienware person that would definitely be the way to go if you're doing some heavy graphics work.

    This is the worst advice to go with hp OVER Asus. Asus makes great products and they are one of our sponsors. HP products suck I will leave it at that. PoLo if you really want to help, you cannot just recommend a brand and say it is for heavy geaphics. There are different processors and graphics packages with each laptop.

    srice, a budget woiuld really help as we could find an Asus product with the best bang for the buck.

    The other brand mentioned is junk, period.

    Ok I've never used nor seen nor know anyone who has used an Asus laptop. And I have never had a problem with an HP product except a printer thats a little fidgety, on the other hand I've had countless problems with Dell products.

    My buddy has a G74 and loves it. I think it has 550 graphics and that is pretty stout.
