    so i'm looking at this unresponsive dv6-6b55er

    HP Pavilion dv6-6b55er Entertainment Notebook PC Product Specifications | HP® Support

    there is a possibility the mobo is fried due to a 220 / 110 power mixup
    so i am wondering if the CPU can be swaped if i buy a new mobo

    HP Pavilion dv6-6b55er laptop motherboard

    or if it is soldered on
    everything else seems plug & play

    any1 have insight on weather i can do this or would it be a waste of money?

    Search " HP Part Surfer"on Google. Go there enter requested info. Enter notebook serial or model info. It will display everything relayrd to notebook including part numbers. If the cpu has a separate pn then the board then you can swap them.
