    Default resolution question

hey guys, we were previously talking about the res difference on the g73jh-a2 vs. the best buy version. im thinking that even if i go with the 16.9 bb version opposed to the 16.10, that it will still be an upgrade from my home pc.

im still using a samsung syncmaster 930b. its running in 1280x1024.

would the bb ver of the g73 still have a better quality picture than what i have now? or would it be the equivalent of my changing my desktop res to a 1024x768?

since im gaming, i just wanna get the best bang for my buck and am not sure i wanna pay an extra 400 bucks if the screen res is not that big of a difference.

also, is there any differnce performance wise between these 2 wireless cards on the asus g73jh?

Difference in resolution quality kind of depends on the person's preferences/eyes. What are your reasons for buy the laptop? If you're expecting a performance increase over your desktop, you will be wasting cash. A GTX 295 destroys the Mobility 5870 on every level. I would look into upgrading your desktop monitor. As for the wireless cards, I would think the Intel one would be a bit better, but the built-in would be sufficient.

There will not by an increase over the 4850, either. It would be a lot closer, but the desktop 4850 is still better than the mobility 5870. The mobility 5870 is roughly equal do a watered down desktop 5770.
