Hey, Kaganander,

Those look like good numbers on the message you sent today. What is this problem you are having with an SLI or some pairing of PCI-E Cards? I am interested because I only use one, an XFX 8800 GT that I bought when their numbers were high and their prices were low. Maybe you weren't talking about graphics cards: I ran across the message when I was looking for a way to contact you. I've been off the site for days because of class preparations and staying up all night overclocking. The ASUS P5Q Pro is a solid piece of work-- it won't boot if your overclock fails, but once you've booted it passes all the tests. By the way, Prime 95 has a new version that tortures two cores at a time, so it is easier to use. I am taking everything slowly, so I am just at about 3500 MHz for now, but the second 500 are the fastest (and most frustrating). What's been happening in Westbury?

Thanks for the information, it will be very helpful. Let me tell you what happened: I started to get high temps, so I remembered how I slathered the Arctic Silver on my heatsink and wondered if I'd missed a spot on one of the cores. I am using the Core2 E8400, as you probably know. Well, in pulling off the heatsink, I somehow ruined my mobo. It was either that of my Power Supply (a no-name, but it worked well). So I ordered an ASUS P5Q Pro and a PC Power and Cooling, both discounted at New Egg, and I am presently gently working my proc up to a respectable speed. So far so good, but I am only at the early stages. On the ABit I got a fairly stable clock over 4GHz, no blue screens but I flunked the Prime95 and the Orthos, but managed to complete Super Pi each time. Fairly stable, I guess. I could have tweaked it more if I hadn't lost my mind over the heatsink, but I'm nuts.
