DDM2 dual channel and there are 2 more slots left. I would rather get a 1GB stick to save space in an already tight fit

It will go with 1 1GB stick. Also would this be a good buy? The reviews are good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820161677

when you say you'll buy 1GB ram you are not out of the woods yet. mems come in lots of ways, they have speeds, timings and they need different volts. you should first get a closer look on what you already have and get a new one close to it. like say ur ram runs on 533MHz and you buy one which runs on 800MHz, then you spent the money for nothing because the mobo will turn down the faster mem's speed. of course nothing bad will happen if you buy any random ram, but the overall system performance will suffer.
get cpu-z and get a look at what it says about ur rams

we need to know what that speed is ie 533mhz or 667mhz, but in cpuz its set up as half the actual mem. speed
