    Default Memory Question

    Not really overclocking-related, sorry.

    Motherboard: ASUS P6T (X58)

With Triple Channel DDR3, I have 3 sticks of 1GB RAM currently. I also have another 2GB stick of the same memory[not installed[ (same company[crucial balistix tracer ddr3]). Is it OK to "mix match" RAM? like, if I were to buy another 2 sticks of 1GB RAM, could I also put in the 2GB stick I currently have plus the new two 1GB sticks which would make a total of 7GB? Is that possible and safe/OK with Triple Channel?

    Thanks.

as long it has the same specs, Mhz, CAS and voltage. No problem with mix match module density.
