With 16GB, you probably don't even need a page file. I have 16GB and turned my page file off. Haven't had any issues.

Yep, really like my Crosshair V Formula. Also have a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3, which is great and not very expensive.

If you are going to get a new motherboard, get one with the 990FX chipset. Lots of great features and an upgrade path should you decide to get a new CPU when Veshera comes out this Fall. Here's a list of potential candidates:

Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Motherboards, AMD Motherboards, AM3+, AMD, AMD 990FX
    2nd Rig: AMD FX-8120; Corsair H105 ; Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3; 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 1600MHz; 2 x PowerColor HD 7870 Myst. Ed. (Tahiti LE); Fractal Design Arc XL; SeaSonic X Series 850W

Ok, so your programs didn't use half of your mem, then use 10g of the memory to make RAMDISK.

Ohhh no, with the FX chips, the 97X boards were having a lot of problems. 990 chipsets are the way to go cause the 97X chipset board use low power phase IMO.

Ramdisk is sweet. The read/write speeds are 10x of any SSD.

Here is my Crystal mark score

Thats crazy, I have Ram Disc on my new Z77 Asrock Fatal1ty One Pro. But I am not using it at the moment I have 16gbs in that one. I have 32 gbs in my X79 build but no RAM disc, in that build I have to buy the Ram Disc software, it did not come with it, ( Asus X79 Sabertooth).

Boards were crapping out is what I heard on the 970 side. When I tested the Asus M597 board it overclocked as well as the 990's

Don't waste the extra money on an 8150. Get an 8120 and overclock it. Better yet, wait for Veshera. It's only a handful of months away. Still say you should go with a 990FX board. Better features for overclocking.
